Boneshaker Books 5th Anniversary Party

January 15, 2016 - 8:00pm

Boneshaker Books is turning five years old! On Friday January 15 at 8 PM we’re throwing a birthday party to celebrate this momentous occasion, and like many five year olds, we insisted on having a costume party. The theme? Literature - whatever that means. Dress up like an author; dress up like a book cover; dress up like a poem; or, if you’re hard pressed for ideas, dress up like a lover of local independent bookstores! (That one’s real easy - all you need to do is show up and we’ll get the idea.)

There will be catered food and literature themed cocktails - Infinite Juice, anyone? There will be singing and dancing and karaoke and some of the Twin Cities’ finest booklovers wearing lovingly-made literary costumes. Additionally, all party attendees will receive an honorary volunteer discount of 20% during the event!

This event is free and open to the public. Our store is easily accessed by public transportation, bicycle, and cars (street parking only). We are wheelchair accessible, our bathroom is gender neutral, and we have extensive anti-racist, anti-sexist, anti-oppression bylaws to help Boneshaker Books feel like a safe(r) space.

WHEN: Friday January 15, 8 PM to the wee hours of the night
WHERE: Boneshaker Books, 2002 23rd Ave S., Minneapolis MN
