Boneshaker Books' December Wine and Poetry Social

December 15, 2013 - 4:00pm

Boneshaker Books' is proud to host five award winning Minnesota authors reading from their latest books at our December Wine and Poetry social.

During the course of the evening the featured authors will discuss their evolving relationship between activism and the writer’s craft. To launch a conversation with the audience about social engagement they will read selections from their newest works. There will be breaks between each set of readings for everyone to eat, drink, and commune with one another.

  • Patricia Barone will be reading from her book, The Scent Of Water. She has received both Loft-McKnight and Lake Superior Contemporary Writers Awards for her work.
  • Kathyrn Kysar is the author of Pretend The World. Kysar has been recognized by the National Endowment for the Humanities.
  • Ethna McKiernan is a Huffington Post writer who has received Minnesota State Arts Board fellowships for her poetry.  Sky Thick With Fireflies is her latest book.
  • Charles Britt Flemming's poetry has been featured in Twin Cities Planet.
