Remembering Adam Briesemeister

Adam receiving his Boneshaker one year anniversary certificate

We are remembering our friend and fellow volunteer Adam Briesemeister, who died trying to save others in a house fire last Wednesday morning.

In addition to Boneshaker, Adam gave his time to many other Twin Cities organizations; he was completely committed to righteous causes to make this world a better place. He believed in community in the true sense of the word and loved people. He was a leader, and after a few years in Minneapolis was just beginning to find his place. His booming actor's voice, actions and thoughtfulness will be thoroughly missed. Adam was an amazing soul. Our hearts go out to his family and friends.

Adam's family has asked that in lieu of flowers, we donate books to libraries and charity programs that encourage reading. One such program that Adam supported was the Women's Prison Book Project, housed inside Boneshaker. If you would like to donate books to this awesome program, you can bring them to Boneshaker during our open hours.
